On Friday, 11 June, we took a trip to Ajdovščina. The circular educational trail took us to the source of the Hubelj river, one of the main, cleanest and most drinkable karstic springs of the Vipava Valley.
There are 24 informational boards along the trail from which we learned about the local plant and
animal species, such as typical trees, shrubs, rocks, aquatic ecosystem, forest animals and other
interesting facts. Aside from the informational boards, the trail surprised us with a wooden hanging
bridge, a hunting blind, sports facilities, drinking water springs, etc.
On that hot summer day we cooled down by soaking our feet in the cold river.
